What I help with

Any good therapist has their own areas of expertise in which they have undertaken sufficient, credible training. My practice currently focuses on helping those with the symptoms of Depression and Anxiety (This includes: Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Generalised Anxiety, Trauma/PTSD and Phobias).

You may be unsure about what you are struggling with, and this is okay. I offer a free consultation to discuss any problems and will be open and transparent regarding if I feel I would be the right therapist for you.

Depression & Low Self Esteem

Depression is the most prevalent cause of poor health for people all over the world today. For some it can seemingly come out of the blue, for others it is a feeling that has been around for as long as the person can remember. Generally, Depression is characterised by low/sad mood, feeling hopeless/worthless and being decreased in energy. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) has been proven to be one of the most effective treatments for Depression.

Anxiety 

Have you been preoccupied with worry lately? Do you often cancel plans out of fears which regard others' judgments? Does your anxiety fill you with tension physically?

It is normal for us to feel anxious and nervous at times - e.g., starting a new job, getting married etc.  When anxiety becomes too strong it can majorly impact our lives to the point where the smallest of tasks can become huge burdens. There are many different types of anxiety issues (e.g., social anxiety, health anxiety, general and day to day anxiety etc.); fortunately, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) has proven an effective treatment for Anxiety related issues.

Trauma / PTSD
